Possum in the palm trees

Well, old bread, vegetable scraps and what not we put out for the many wild birds that frequent our area (hence the bird photos in my gallery) now when the birds don't finish them off or don't pop by (some days they are off elsewhere) this little cute possum stops by to gorge itself on the easy food of plenty.

It is funny the noises it makes if the local wandering cats think they can eat it (they can't its bigger than they are) and it goes up the palm tree.

Nocturnal animals are so hard to photograph -.- I attempted to avoid red eye / retina reflection, but failed. lol

On the whole, its not scared of us humans, but its purely wild and wont allow such fun as hand feeding it like the one from the feedshed on the property I lived at as a child.
