Sulphur Flight by MoleyVyrus Sulphur Flight by MoleyVyrus
Sulphur Crested Cockatoo - in flight, Approx. 2 metres from my camera. This shot was one of many attampts to capture the bird clearly in flight - after take off.

We get huge numbers of these in our backyard every afternoon.

Enjoy.

I totally agree with fmlavita. This is a phenomenal shot overall. An uncommon bird, a good composition, great background. This really has it all. A very good job, indeed. :+fav:

I ve seen many photos with main theme the birds...
This one is the most interesting ever, for three reasons:
First, this is a kind of ~exotic~ bird to my eyes, since the most common bird for me to find and shoot is a pigeon....
Second, the desire you had to catch a specific pose from taking off, helped you to fight untill you get the one you were hoping for...
and last but not least, its an amazing combination of perfect, steady focus and great movement in the foreground and in background....
Congratulations!!!!! :rose:
